Head of Innovation Spaces for JMU’s Libraries and Educational Technology, James Madison University

Grover Saunders is the Head of Innovation Spaces for JMU Libraries and has dedicated his entire career to helping faculty make digital tools an integral and transformative part of their teaching experience. Grover loves kung fu and is a freelance web designer, an adjunct instructor for JMU’s School of Media Arts and Design, and a two-time pie-eating champion.

Jenny Wong-Welch

STEM Librarian, San Diego State University

Jenny Wong-Welch is the STEM Librarian at San Diego State University. In addition to her responsibilities of providing research assistance and library instruction for the College of Engineering and the departments of Astronomy, Physics, and Mathematics/Statistics. She is the Director of build IT @ SDSU Library, a student-run makerspace designed to foster creativity and innovation by providing an infrastructure for DIY learning of technology. Jenny received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics & Economics from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has presented and published on the role of libraries as makerspaces on the academic campus and the library’s ability to use the process of creating to make information literacy more tangible.

Keven Jeffery

Associate Librarian, Digital Technologies San Diego State University

Keven Jeffery is an Associate Librarian with San Diego State University’s Library & Information Access where he is responsible for investigating emerging digital technologies and applications. Keven received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He has presented at national conferences and has written articles that have appeared in the Journal of the Medical Library Association, Medical Reference Services Quarterly, Library Hi Tech, the Journal of Web Librarianship and Evidence Based Library and Information Practice.
