Alison Denby is the VP for Journals at Oxford University Press (OUP). She’s been at OUP for ten years and prior to that worked at BePress, Wiley/Blackwell, HMSO and Emerald. She is passionate about supporting the long-term sustainability of the not-for-profit journal publishing community. Alison has an MBA from Babson College.

John Shaw is the Chief Technology Officer at SAGE Publishing, a leading independent, academic and professional publisher of innovative, high-quality content. John is a 25-year veteran in the publishing industry. During his tenure, John has held management roles in Production, Composition, Abstracting and Indexing, Technology and Operations. He is currently responsible for SAGE's global electronic publishing technology program, including electronic peer review, content hosting platforms, semantic indexing & content enrichment, content encoding strategies, web technologies, online accessibility, electronic content delivery, video asset and content management strategies. John has a proven track record in recruiting and managing high-performing global teams, including an international staff and external development partners. John is actively involved in the industry, frequently speaking at key publishing events, including SSP, STM, ALPSP, PSP, and The Digital Publishing Summit. He has previously served as a board member of the The Society of Scholarly Publishing and CrossRef Board and is a member of the STM Future Labs group.

John Zenelis is Dean of Libraries and University Librarian at George Mason University. He has led Mason’s library system for more than 20 years. For a period of a dozen years, he also served concurrently as Associate Vice President for Information Technology at Mason. Among the range of responsibilities associated with his Dean of Libraries role, he also oversees the GMU Press, which is part of University Libraries. His prior professional experience includes senior administrative positions at Temple University Libraries, including two years as acting University Librarian, and before that middle level management positions at Columbia University Libraries. His professional start and training was with The Research Libraries, The New York Public Library.

Julie Mosbo Ballestro has held the position of the Associate Dean for Administrative and Faculty Services since January 2020. This position is responsible for administering the functions associated with the University Libraries’ Business Services, Employee Resources, Facilities Services, as well as managing faculty recruitment, hiring, retention, professional development, and promotion and tenure. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro started her career at Texas A&M University Libraries as the William and Susan Ouren Preservation Librarian in October 2013 and became Director of Preservation in 2014. She served as Interim Director of Cushing Memorial Library and Archives from September 2018-November 2019. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Certificate of Advance Study in Preservation Administration from the University of Texas-Austin. Ms. Mosbo Ballestro has served on many international and national committees including the Association of Libraries and Technical Services Board and chair of the Preservation and Reformatting Section of the American Library Association.
